The best source of energy is free and renewable. Sunlight can provide up to 20 free miles per day to the CONDOR operation. With 200 miles per day at less than 2 cents per mile, munipalities can save money and stablize their fleet expenses.
With more than 500 foot-pounds of torque and a patented multi-ratio drive, the CONDOR can haul 1,000 pounds up a 10% grade with no problem. The 65″ x 100″ steel frame will fit virtually any truck body on the market. The frame will support a standard bed, a tri-fold bed, a tool box, refrigerator, or special-purpose equipment.
With more than 42″ of crumple zone, and no engine block to smash into the driver’s compartment, the CONDOR cab design is by far the safest ever designed. Our crash test modeling was patterned after NASCAR standards, and resulted in a safety margin even at 50 mph impacts. That is 57% better than the NHTSA standards. Couple that with our steel roll cage and throttle interlocks, and driver injuries duing collisions should plummet. That is great and welcome news to fleet operators.
After dozens of iterations, the shape of the hood and fenders was perfected to reduce the notorius wind resistance of pikcup trucks as low as possible. When the driver invests stored energy in the speed of the vehicle, it made sense to us to preserve that speed. The result was the greatest range-per-Kwh of any vehicle in its class. CONDORS have been known to coast for nearly a mile from 80 miles an hour. Try that in your Lambourgini.
The CONDOR has the largest cab in its class. it has more legroom than a Ranger and more headroom than a Silverado. The instrumentation is designed for low cost and high reliability. Our municipal fleet customers don’t care about plasma screens or computer-controlled cabin temperature. They want function, reliability, and affordability.
The story is the same at every trade show. The CONDOR is the best in class, so when can you deliver trucks? We currently have demand for more than 80 thousand trucks to replace or expand current municipal and commercial fleets. There have also been many thousands of requests by consumers, although we do not presently market ot them.
The patented rear suspension of the CONDOR is designed to be fully adjustable with ordinary tools to allow the owner to set the ground clearance and the load carrying capacity of the vehicle. The fully independent design is coordinated with the placement of the battery packs to distribute nearly 50% of the vehicle’s dry weight on each wheel set. This solves an age-old safety issue with empty pickup truck stability on slick surfaces such as ice, rain, or wet grass.
